Winter adventure in Iceland 2016-2017
Day 1 Guests are met at the airport in Akureyri after a 45-minute flight from Reykjavik at 13 o’clock and driven to lake Myvatn.
A guided sightseeing tour of the Myvatn area will include such places as Dimmuborgir(lava fields), Hofdi (a community park) and the bubbling mud pools at Hverir.
Check in at Sel-Hotel Myvatn and orientation for activities for the upcoming day(s). After an evening meal guests are encouraged to take an evening stroll around the area to look for the Norhern Lights – free entree to the northern light shelter-cafe.
Day2A day for guests to enjoy themselves and do as they please: simply enjoy a relaxing day in the beauty of Myvatn, or head off for an action-packed day, depending on what tours or activities are available at the time.
Evening meal at the hotel. Free entree to the northern light shelter cafe.
Various tours and activities are available during your stay they may include: Dettifoss waterfall 4×4-tour, Ludent Volcano 4×4-tour, snowmobile tour, Nordic skiing, Snow-shoing tour, hiking and much more.
Day 3After breakfast, at 10 o’clock, guests are taken back to Akureyri with a stop at Godafoss waterfall. Heading to the airport for the return flight to Reykjavik with the 13:25 o’clock flight or to a hotel in Akureyri for new adventures. Package available: December 1st to April 1stIncluded:
