South Iceland & ATV Adventure
The wonders of the South Coast, combined with an invigorating ATV tour. This thrilling tour puts you on a quad bike to ride on the black lava sand fields that were formed by glacial outbursts from now dormant volcano Katla. You will enjoy an amazing view of Myrdalsjokull glacier, Jokulsa river and the famous aircraft wreck from 1973. Afterwards, we explore Iceland’s South coast and beautiful waterfalls, Skogarfoss and Seljalandsfoss.
We start the day with stops at Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Skogarfoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland and at Seljalandsfoss visitors can actually walk behind the waterfall for a unique perspective. We then head to ATV base for a safety briefing before mounting up and heading down to the black lava sands, splashing through a few small rivers along the way. Down at the beach, we stop to take in an awesome view of Myrdalsjokull glacier before carrying on to Jokulsa river and the ruins of an aircraft wreck from 1973. A valid driver’s licence is required to operate the ATVs.
