Whale Watching Westfjords Come and join us for this new and very exciting venture, in a remote, but beautiful and unspoiled part of Iceland, with the most acrobatic species of whales.

The fjord outside Holmavik is known to host a lot of humpback whales in the summer. Humpbacks are the favorite species for many whale watchers around the world, as they are the most playful, acrobatic and curious of all whales.

Other species we can expect to see are minke whales and white-beaked dolphins. Occasional visitors are blue whales, orcas, pilot whales and possibly even sperm whales.

We depart from Holmavik 3 times a day at 9:30, 14:00 and 16:30 Holmavik is on the main road to Isafjordur and Strandir.
