Bustarfell farmhouse
Bustarfell farmhouse
On road 85 towards Vopnafjordur, there is a detour onto road 920 which leads to Burstafell, a beautiful old stone farmhouse with red gables and a turf roof.
Inhabited until 1966 this is one of the oldest and best-preserved farms of its kind in Iceland.
Now a museum, the farm exhibits items that belonged to or were collected by the family who now lives in a new house on the farmstead. Refreshments are available.
