Under the auspices of The Icelandic Horse History Centre, an exhibition is located in the old stables at Holar in Hjaltadal. The exhibition gives a good insight into the history of Iceland's’ farmers most valuable servant – the Icelandic horse and its connection to daily life in the creation of the Icelandic nation. 


Also some of the main aspects of the breeding history of this excellent gaited riding horse breed.
