Olafsdalur by Gilsfjordur is a small valley, surrounded by high mountains, where the first agricultural school in Iceland was established in 1880. 


The beautiful school-building from 1896 is open to the public. Exhibitions about the history of the school. Olafsdalur organic vegetables for sale, coffee, and light meals. 

Educational trail and interesting walking paths. Remains of many other buildings and man-made structures from 1880-1900. The Olafsdalur Festival is held on August 6th.
