THE TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM AT YSTAFELL The Transportation Museum at Ystafell was established by Ingolfur Kristjansson and Kristbjorg Jonsdottir in 1998. The museum is the oldest of its kind in Iceland. Its main role is to preserve and show various ways and means of transportation and present to the public interesting facts on the subject. Ingólfur collected spare parts, machinery and cars of all kinds for half a century. The Transportation Museum is the result of his efforts and dedication.
