Jóhann Helgi who is a celebrated chef in Reykjavik decided to follow his dream and open his own restaurant. He has years of experience working in the most renown restaurants in the city and for the last twelve years, he was the chef behind Reykjavíks most popular lunch restaurant.
Resto specializes in fish courses, loved by the locals for their freshness and amazing flavours. On the menu, you can also find meat courses and vegetarian options for those who prefer. A popular option is the special five-course „chefs menu“ were Jóhann picks the starters, the main dish and deserts, depending on what is the freshest each day. Restó is warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly and the owners want their guests to feel relaxed. The food is the main focus and there Restó strives for excellence.
