Hot Spring & Cool Glacier
Why not discover Iceland's hot and cool secrets. We will pick you up in Reykjavik and take you for a super jeep tour up to our Glacier Langjokull, the second largest glacier in Iceland.
We stop at our base camp and gear up for a 1-hour snowmobile tour, get a lesson on how best to operate the snowmobile and safety protocols. Then we head out to the snowmobile area the guide will show you to your snowmobile then it is time to head off on a tour at the endless snowfields.
We make some photo stops on the way and if you are lucky and the weather is good you will be able to take some fantastic photos of the Icelandic landscape.
After the tour, we head to one of our favourite spots for light lunch and relax a bit be for going to the natural hot spring in Fludir just about 30 minutes away from Gullfoss. This is known as the Secret Lagoon or in Icelandic Gamla Lauginn direct translation the old pool as it was created in 1891.
The area around has been remodelled for comfort and some luxury for a natural pool to be. The pool is between 38 and 40 Celsius all year round, and its natural surrounding with steams raising from the ground makes the place feel magical especial during the winter. On the side of the Lagoon there is a new changing facility with segregated shows and at the desk, you are able to purchase drinks and light snacks.
When we have enjoyed the relaxation in the Hot Spring it is time to head back to Reykjavik city, the drive back should take us about an hour and a half. We always recommend you have a good breakfast before you leave on your tour Swimming suits rentals are available at the Secret Lagoon Towel is included so you don't need to bring that Best to dress in lairs, windproof and water resistant is always good
