Winds up to 50 meters per second will arrive in Iceland tomorrow, with a yellow weather warning in effect for pretty much the entire country from noon tomorrow onwards.

According to an alert from the Icelandic Met Office, tomorrow is not going to be a great day for traveling anywhere in the country. From noon tomorrow until midnight on Thursday, gale-force winds are expected to sweep across the coastal regions of Iceland.

Every part of the country will be subjected to winds ranging from 18 meters per second to 23 meters per second, but the guests will be much stronger. South Iceland, in particular, could see gusts reaching anywhere from 45 to 50 meters per second.

Mercifully, rain will only be expected in the eastern part of the country, but temperatures will plunge below the freezing point for most of the country.

This warning will be in effect from noon tomorrow until midnight on Thursday. As such, it is highly advisable to stay off the roads during this time, especially as many road closures can be expected.
