Husafell Hiking Trails
Several hiking opportunities can be found in the Husafell area, with trails suitable for families and more experienced hikers. The scenery ranges from dense woodland to spectacular canyons and glacial rivers.
As well as wildlife and geology, highlights include intriguing historical remains dating from Husafell’s settler farming days. You can also hike a sculpture trail featuring work by local artist Páll Guðmundsson.
Look out for the large interpretation sign, which has a map including the following trails:
ODDALEID (Water Trail)

Beautiful woodland hike along Oddalindir and the River Hvita.
KIÐARHLAUP (The Artist’s Home Canyon)
5km / 2hrs
An enjoyable walk along both sides of the canyon up to a scenic viewpoint, passing sculptures by PAll Guðmundsson.
