The Matthias Jochumsson Memorial Foundation is a memorial museum of the Reverend and beloved poet Matthias Jochumsson (1835-1920), best known for composing the national anthem of Iceland and a canon of religious poetry and hymns. A person who was larger than life. 

The house was the home of Matthias from 1903 until the end of this life.
