Sheriff Skuli Magnusson (1711-1794) Named: “The Father of Reykjavik” treasurer Skuli Magnússon was one of the main supporters of the “Innréttingar”, and campaigned in their favor throughout their existence.
Still standing on Viðey island today, is his residence, where he lived from 1754 until death in 1794.
