Skardsvik (Skarðsvík )

Skardsvik (Skarðsvík )

Skardsvik is a pretty golden sand beach near the western tip of Snaefellsnes and accessed from the single track road to Ondverdanes.

Framed by black basalt cliffs, the beach may entice you to take a dip in the sea on a summer's day but this is not recommended due to strong currents in the area.

By the car park, an information board explains how a Viking Age grave was found in the area.
