Trekyllisvik (Trékyllisvík) and Kort (Kört) Museum

In Trekyllisvik you’ll find seals, birds and a sweeping bay piled with driftwood.

Enjoy a coffee here, take a look at local handicrafts fashioned from items collected in the bay and visit the local museum and art center, Kort.

The driftwood comes mainly from Russia brought in by a clockwise circumpolar current and is very valuable in a country with few trees.

Driftwood has been used in construction as well as wood carving over many years. At Kort, there is a small exhibition of items from the Middle Ages to modern times.
